Some things should be
Kept with a key
Things like your shoes,
your money purse, your heart -
especially your heart
because its mine
and I am far away
but only for today
Some things should be
opened with a key
things like your house, your room
your bank, and you
because you are special
to me.
The key is love, smiling words
and cupcakes
crumbling in your giggling mouth
because it helps
a lot
it opens up your heart
to love
